Summary: This is a perfect boutique hotel. It is eco friendly. The hosts are happy to share information about the local area. We only had two nights here but we were made to feel right at home. The hotel was great value and the area is well worth a longer visit.

Summary: This bed-and-breakfast goes above and beyond the call of duty in every way. The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very, very clean, and very well appointed. It is also the most eco-friendly room that we have ever stayed in in our lives. The beds are large and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely amazing We cannot say enough about this bed-and-breakfast. We would stay here 1000 times over.

Summary: We had a nice corner room with lots of windows right on the canal. Staff was wonderful with finding us parking. Close to loads of restaurants.

Summary: I have spent more than 250 days a year in a hotel for years and this was by far the best experience. I felt welcome from the very first second.

Summary: Great breakfast in a comfortable eating area with homemade items including cakes. Friendly, knowledgeable proprietor Riccardo who also does interesting guided tours of the salt flats (recommended). Our room was slightly dated and tired but had a great view out of the window. Overall we very much enjoyed staying at Al Ponticello. We travelled there by train and bus. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from a bus stop. The buses are not frequent (service 331), typically hourly. One can get to the beach (Lido) easily by bus. We went to Lido di Spira which is bus 331 stop 098, approx 30 minutes from Comacchio. Comacchio itself is a quiet village with canals. Has a big supermarket and loads of restaurants. The museum is a must ... allow at least a couple of hours.
