The historical center of Bologna is a limited traffic zone (ZTL) from 7 to 20 it is not allowed to enter by car. However, daily permits can be purchased. On Saturdays and Sundays part of the center becomes a pedestrian zone (from the Two Towers) and it is pleasant to walk through the city. There are several paid parking in the historic center and outside the center, easily accessible by public transport.
