Summary: Couldn't have asked for more. Lovely big room with a sofa and a mountain view out of the window, clean shower room with good water pressure, a nice comfy bed, and Christoph on reception was friendly and helpful. The hotel is only seven minutes' walk from the station - the immediate area around it is a sort of light industrial area, nothing wrong with it but there's not a lot on the doorstep - however there are regular buses into town and you get free public transport as part of the city taxes you pay when you stay in Salzburg.
