In the heart of the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park, there are stunning hiking and mountain bike routes on your doorstep through forests and alpine meadows. The neighbouring village of Fenestrelle (5 minutes) is famous for its mountain fortress and attractive cobbled streets.
There are some good restaurants in Usseaux, Fenestrelle and Pragelato. For self-catering there are several grocery stores within a 15-minute drive and the weekly market (Sunday mornings) in Pragelato where you can find fresh local ingredients.
